Power Color Green

I've read that colors are powerful and each one has a different meaning that can affect the mood of the viewer. More importantly, colors are strong elements that can affect branding and a company's image. Research has shown that color is a form of nonverbal communication that can assist in memory and increase brand identity.

As a marketing person, I believe it is just as important to brand yourself as an expert or professional in your industry, just as you would brand your business. Color is an important form of branding.

While contemplating my own personal brand, I did a little research into the power of colors. I wanted to know what color defined me and which one would be good for my brand. There is a huge difference between colors we like and our power colors, or the colors that define our personalities.

Although none of these tests are truly official, I found a couple online and they both came back with the same answer. My power color is GREEN...for easy-going, self-awareness, confidence and stability. Although I'm not a fan of the color green, I do like the characteristics of green and I will consider using it in my upcoming personal brand development.

Take the quizzes to find out what color defines you and see if you can implement it more in your life.
